The two things behind the batterys are the power kill switch and a cylinder with four wires like a relay. good to know for future as another option. i'll look tomorrow to see what you suggested. now to find out where to find such a thing. the diode does not look to be the original but did the job. when running it works fine but direct hook up has the shutoff solenoid chattering away when key is off so just disconnecting when done for now. i'll have to get another to fix properly but I can just run a jumper for now. (I did not know where this was (the shutoff selenoid ) but it is found between the batteries and the back wall of the battery box ) it looked ok (the diode ) but just crumbled to nothing when I grabbed onto it. was a small diode behind the battery that runs power to the fuel shutoff solenoid. Those solenoids are very expensive! We just use the bungie cord and pull a rope to shut it down. Put a bungie cord on it to pull it in (they are magnetic ) and she will fire right up. Its between the injection pump and block. I've heard these have lots of electrical gremlins but if I have fuel at injectors and its turning over what can the problem be? its electrical shut down and I looked for fuel shutoff solenoid but can't seem to find one although that does not make sense to me either as if I turn it over with injectors cracked I have diesel leaking at each injector.Īny ideas, could I have fuel but not enough fuel? any suggestions as to what to look for would be appreciated. but still absolutely no firing, not even a hiccup but turns over great. cracked injectors and turned over and have fuel at each injector.
checked fuel and opened bleed valve in line to fuel pump and manual fuel pump works fine to push fuel at that point (past filters ). went to use this morning and won't start. used last night and all worked perfectly.
