They may well be a legitimate company, but there were way too many red flags for my liking so I will be staying away from them. I cannot say with 100% accuracy whether or not DriverFix is a legitimate company, but they seem suspicious to me and I personally will not be giving them any credit card details. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and I downloaded the software and Windows Defender immediately warned me of a virus and the download was also blocked by Chrome. Also seeing /#header in the URL, now this may be normal but this is not something that I have ever seen before, and I have been surfing the web for a long time. I go to the DriverFix website, and in the corner it says "not secure", this is an immediate red flag for me as I do not see this too often, and if they were a legitimate company surely they would have legitimate and updated certificates on their website.
I know i'm a little late to the party but I wanted to share my thoughts on this, since I have had my own experience with DriverFix. There is obviously no way you can cancel your subscription anywhere in their website, you don't buy "1 year of this extremely crappy service", you enter into a recurrent subscription so I had to cancel it through paypal, and I hope I won't get charged. This fails to highlight that you need to pay upfront for a 1 year license, and furthermore, the price does not include VAT, so it turns out being around 22 EUR that you need to pay upfront.Ģ- The interface: It scans fast, true, but it gives you tons of false positives, and in many cases the drivers fail to install (in my case it identified 7 drivers that needed updating, but I was able to only install 2, and one of them I had to do it manually.ģ- Cancelling the "subscription". Sorry to dig this one up, but I cannot overstate it enough to anyone who reads the comments of this post and thinks, like I did "meh, they must be exaggerating, it cannot be that bad, there are decent reviews in specialised review websites".ġ - getting a license: In most review websites they say it's "1.5 a month".
